Different
airframes demand different creative design solutions… paintworks must
highlight positive aerodynamic features and mask others. Challengers need
to be visually elongated... Boeing 737 Business Jets and Hawker 700’s
need their vertical stabilizers visually shortened… most high bypass
ratio fan jet nacelles need to appear slimmer, every area rule fuselage
presents special problems for feature stripes… most Falcon models
are so well proportioned that minimal accents are successful...and each
livery plan must reflect the owner’s vision and design parameters.
Designer input often stops upon the owners' approval of the two-dimensional exterior drawings. In contrast, the Avia Design Group always participates in every stage of the paint process, particularly the tape-up sessions for each stripe, accent or logo. |
